Solar Charge Controller
A solar charge controller uses solar energy to power a device or charge a battery. It intelligently limits the rate at which electric current is added to or drawn from the battery, depending on the situation, typically protecting the battery from overcharging, overvoltage, and deep discharge, which helps to prolong battery life. The DC-to-DC solar charge controller is used in conjunction with ATESS PCS when solar energy needs to be integrated into the system.
